Order of the Phoenix
The Order of the Phoenix is one of the highest levels of recognition that an undergraduate member can receive. It can only be awarded to a member while he is still an undergraduate member. The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding commitment and loyalty to the Fraternity by a collegiate brother. The recipient must have demonstrated outstanding service to the Fraternity on any level for an extended period of time.
Order of the Lion
The Order of the Lion recognizes outstanding commitment and loyalty to the Fraternity by an alumnus. The recipient must have demonstrated outstanding service to the Fraternity on any level for an extended period of time.
Order of Devotie
The Order of Devotie is one of the highest individual honors within Sigma Alpha Epsilon, awarded to collegiate and alumni members who demonstrate exceptional proficiency, dedication, and reverence for the Ritual of the Fraternity. This recognition is reserved for those who not only understand the Ritual in depth, but who uphold and exemplify its principles in their conduct, leadership, and lifelong commitment to the values of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Recipients of the Order of Devotie are entrusted with preserving the integrity, meaning, and tradition of the Ritual for future generations of brothers.
Order of Minerva
The Order of Minerva is one of Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s highest honors, recognizing alumni who have demonstrated exceptional loyalty, sustained leadership, and significant service to the Fraternity over an extended period of time.
This distinction is reserved for individuals who have made meaningful contributions at the local, regional, or national level through consistent involvement, leadership, and dedication. Recipients have typically served in impactful roles such as chapter advisors, alumni association leaders, or other positions that advance the mission and strength of SAE. Selection to the Order of Minerva reflects a proven, long-term commitment to the Fraternity and its values, honoring those who have gone beyond participation to leave a lasting legacy of service.
Outstanding Eminent Treasurer of The Year
The Outstanding Eminent Treasurer Award recognizes members who demonstrate exceptional leadership, discipline, and proficiency in financial management within Sigma Alpha Epsilon. This honor is awarded to individuals who excel in budgeting, financial oversight, and accountability—ensuring the stability and long-term success of their chapter or organization. Recipients are trusted stewards of financial integrity, consistently upholding the highest standards of responsibility and transparency. Selection reflects a proven ability to manage resources effectively while reinforcing the operational strength and sustainability of the Fraternity.
Outstanding Eminent Archon of THE YEAR
The Outstanding Eminent Archon Award recognizes chapter presidents who demonstrate exceptional leadership, vision, and execution as the head of their organization. This honor is awarded to individuals who lead with clarity, drive results, and elevate the performance and culture of their chapter. Recipients consistently exceed expectations across key operational areas while effectively guiding their members and advancing chapter goals. Selection reflects a proven ability to lead at the highest level—setting the standard for accountability, communication, and long-term success within Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
True Gentleman of the Year Award
The True Gentleman of the Year Award is the highest individual honor in Sigma Alpha Epsilon, recognizing the single member who best exemplifies the ideals of The True Gentleman across the entire Fraternity.
Selected from among hundreds of thousands of SAE members nationwide, this award represents the highest standard of character, leadership, and integrity. Recipients distinguish themselves not only through their accomplishments, but through the way they lead, serve, and carry the values of the Fraternity in every aspect of life.
This distinction is reserved for individuals who set the benchmark for what it means to be a man of Sigma Alpha Epsilon—defining the standard for all others to follow.
Inner Circle Graduates
Inner Circle is an elite leadership experience that brings together a select group of the top collegiate leaders from across Sigma Alpha Epsilon to develop the next generation of alumni leadership. The program provides direct access to some of the Fraternity’s most accomplished and influential leaders, including members of the Supreme Council. Attendees are immersed alongside their peer leaders—men who demonstrate exceptional commitment, leadership, and passion for SAE. Selection to Inner Circle is a significant distinction, recognizing individuals who have already proven themselves as top leaders within the Fraternity and are expected to continue that impact well beyond their collegiate experience.
